Puppy Advice is tailored to your requirements but can include:

  • What to look for in a responsible breeder or to consider when obtaining a puppy from rescue.

  • Preparations for bringing puppy home.

  • Prevention of common problem behaviours.

  • House training and socialisation tips.

  • How to set up interactions between puppy and young children in the household to promote a positive relationship.

  • How best to introduce your puppy to any resident pets.

  • Training advice on how to lay the foundation to having a well-mannered dog whilst building a positive rapport with your puppy.

Puppy advice to fit your routine and family.

Advice for new puppy owners offers guidance taking into account your daily routine and family requirements.

If you are based in the local area, the session can take the form of a home visit pre/post-puppy collection day. Alternatively, a telephone puppy advice session can be arranged, ensuring you have all the information you need to make informed decisions and be fully prepared.

What’s included in Puppy Advice

  • A home visit can be arranged prior to collecting your puppy or once your puppy has settled into your home.

    Seeing the puppy in the home environment one or two weeks after their arrival really allows for the session to provide the best advice for new puppy owners.

  • Alternatively advice can be given over the telephone if this is more convenient for you or if you do not reside in the local area.

  • Whether you opt for a home visit or a telephone advice session, you will receive ongoing email support. This provides continuing guidance, ensuring you are on the right path to having a well-mannered pup whilst building a positive relationship with your puppy.
